Black cumin oil contains more than a hundred active ingredients such as saturated and unsaturated fatty acids, then calcium, zinc, copper, iron, phosphorus, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6 and B9 and other vitamins and minerals, and the main ingredient is Thymoquinon. Since triglycerides are represented saturated fatty acids – 16% (palmitic and stearic) and unsaturated fatty acids, which the body cannot synthesize them itself – 84% (oleic – 24.64% linoleic – 56.12% linoleum – 0 70% and eicosanoids – 2.53%). High incidence rate of unsaturated fatty acids allows this oil to be applied from nourishing the skin, to the revitalization of the whole organism. This activity is made possible because they represent precursors of prostaglandins, which are present in almost every tissue and body fluid and are responsible for important biological functions. Because of this, black cumin oil has expressed anticancer influence, beneficial effect of strengthening the heart muscle and the secretion of the kidneys, the reproductive organs, gastrointestinal and respiratory tract, central nervous and endocrine systems, reduces the level of cholesterol in the blood, maintain the structure and function of arteries and veins (prevents thrombosis) helps in rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis, treating eczema and dermatitis, preventing PMS syndrome, etc. This oil contains 23 sterols / sterines or fitosteroids who have expressed effect of corticosteroids and sex hormones in humans, and is confirmed their role in activating the immune system. Analyses show that black cumin oil for its biological function has the following structure: thymoquinone (Thymoquinon) to 50% (which is also the main medical ingredient in this oil); cement; pinene; carbon and phenolic components; carvone; and limonene. Black cumin oil contains 15 amino acids (9 of them are essential, as they contain proteins in the human body). Four isolated alkaloids and nigelicin nigelamin-n-oxide (isoquinolines) and nigelidin and nigelicin (pirazoloidi) and certain saponins.
